Lt. Friedrich Honheim : A minor office clerk of the German army in his early forties, non-party member, in Nazi occupied Amsterdam.  Physically considered a perfect Arian, by other officers but is a meek thinker and paper pusher who is constantly stepped on by the other officers.

Col. Günther Dietrich: Colonel in German Army of occupation, HONHEIM’s commanding officer and friend.  He is in his mid thirties and a Nazi party member and believer in the Nazi cause.

Oberstrumfuhrer Johanis Fingiert: Low ranking SS officer

Oberstrumfuhrer Victor Erfunden: Low ranking SS officer

Sara Rosenburg: Wealthy Jewish grandmother and native Dutch, she has recently returned to the city of her birth and taken control of her late brothers’ land holdings.  She has decided to renovate the buildings to rent out to businesses and open a few of her own.  None of the properties have been updated since the early fifties.

Micha Rosenburg: SARA’s grandson, early twenties college student, also Jewish but not as traditional as his grandmother, considered the goofball of his family, he aspires to be a business mogul like his grandmother.  He and his friends are backpacking through Europe and have come to help SARA renovate a building to turn it into a small hotel.

Devin Marx: MICHA’s best friend, along for the ride, he has no declared major nor plans on one anytime soon.  American rock star attitude and appearance, long blond hair blue green eyes, stoner, and his upper chest and arms are covered in modern tribal tattooing.  Other than helping MICHA, he wanted to come to Amsterdam for greener reasons.

Serina Boyle: DEVIN’s girlfriend, architectural major, highly intelligent and a believer in the real world, skeptic, of all the Americans on this journey she is naturally the most interested in renovating a building in a city older than her home country.  No one understands why she’s with DEVIN.

Elaina Esperanta: MICHA’s girlfriend, environmental major, activist, new age, dresses like she’s out of the sixties.
