Wayne Crome is a three-time winner of the St. Louis Playwrights Festival and has enjoyed numerous productions of his plays in Chicago, St. Louis, and other Midwest theatre venues.

| Among his prizes and awards are The Missouri Association of Playwrights President’s Award as Playwright of the Year, three Illinois Arts Council Playwrighting Fellowships, and a commission from the American Blues Theatre (American Theatre Company) of Chicago for their acclaimed Monsters series of one-act plays by well-known American playwrights. His monologue, “Warren”, was cited by The Chicago Sun Times as one of the highlights of the evening. Mr. Crome recently directed an evening of one-act plays by Samuel Beckett. |
