Lou W. Robinson won the 2000 Playwright of the Year Award sponsored by the Missouri Association of Playwrights. In 2007, she won first and second place for 10-minute plays in the UM-St. Louis E. Desmond Lee Playwriting Competition. Lou's plays explore the intersection of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and history with humor and heart. Her collaborative health scripts and writing workshops (playwriting, poetry, journaling, and genealogy) promote spiritual, emotional, and physical healing.
