THE FORGIVENESS TREE - 2009
Kathleen is a published writer and former University Instructor at several universities and colleges, mostly at UMSL, but also at Merrimac Community College, Santa Barbara City College, California, and Riyadh University, Saudi Arabia. A full length version of THE FORGIVENESS TREE was awarded Honorable mention in the 75th Annual Writer's Digest Play Competition; a one act version was selected for a reading at the St. Tammany National One-Act Play Festival in New Orleans; and a short story version was selected as one of top 100 Short Stories by Writer's Digest. Other full length plays include CHETCO RIVER DEFIES THE BIG ONE, a farce that mirrors universal themes of dealing with catastrophes; CORKER'S WALTZ, a comedy about a woman's metamorphous of her life, a recurring dream, conversations with her talking dog, and encounters with a live-athome, alcoholic son; and GUGA CHU: PATH to FORGIVENESS, a fantasy with computer animations. TURN THE HOURGLASS, QUICKLY is a caustic, ten-minute comedy. Kathleen is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
