Herman Blum (Brad Slavik) discovers his son Marvin (Reynard Fox) back home and asleep on the couch. He wakes him with a water pistol.

"Your my Muse!" begs Irwin (Mark Zoole) as he trys to talk Sheila Blum (Melanie Alsup), Herman's daughter, to return to their apartment.

"No. I'm not coming back 'til you give up that terrible job." exclaims Marvin as he explains to his partner Justin (Mike Jokerst) why he left their apartment while Justin is on the road.

"Sheila I won't let you go!" says Irwin as he draws a gun to force Sheila to return to him.

"Who, who, who...." stammers Burt Blum (Steve Karasek). He and Marvin are caught by surprise as Esther (Nancy Crouse), Herman's girlfriend, enters from the bedroom.

"They're hurting, Herman. You know damn well they're all broke" says Esther pointing out some painful facts.

"I am no gold-digging whore, you ... you!" shouts Esther as Burt confronts her with his suspicions about her intentions.

"Maybe I should close that door?" Herman jokes as Irwin has surrendered the gun and the couples resolve their differences.
