Myra Lee Russe (Sofia Murillo) has had enough of her mother and her life in a small town and has decided to run away. First she needs to call her mother and tell her.

Myra Lee is about to depart when she runs into an old boy friend she hasn't seen in years, Ryan Mapplethorpe (Matt Styner). Ryan explains he is back in town and is about to get married. He gives Myra Lee a letter he wrote years ago but never mailed. She reads in it that he loves her. Myra Lee is furious.

Charlotte Russe (Fran Jackson) tells Myra Lee she is being foolish, especially since the phone booth is right across the street from her living room window and has watched everything.

After much arguing. Ryan convinces Myra Lee that he has returned specifically for her and if she wants him he has decided to stay. She ultimately relents.
